Considerable improvement of previously stable or declined cognitive functions was shown in all cases of the use of ciclosporine A with minimised hyperbaric treatment (MHT). The investigations throw light upon the mechanisms of action of the new method.

1. Recovery of glucose utilization in the brain
2. Restoriation of functional activity of the brain and normalization of EEG
3. Reduction of ability to induce apoptosis
4. Improvement of thinking behaviour and daily life activity.
